How many days, dough?

The story of Christmas; December 9:(Luke 1:1-17) "Since many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the effects that have been fulfilled among us, just as those who were eyewitnesses from the beginning and ministers of the word have handed then down to us, I too have decided, after investigating everything accurately anew, to write it down in an orderly sequence for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may realize the certainty of the teachings you have recieved. In the days of Herod, King of Judea, there was a priest named Zachariah of the priestly division of Abijah; his wife was from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. Both were righteous in the eyes of God, observing all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blamelessly. But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren and both were advanced in years. Once when he was serving as priest in his division's turn before God, according to the practice of the priestly service, he was chosen by lot to enter the sanctuary of the Lord to burn incense. Then, even the whole assembly of the people was praying outside at the hour of the incense offering, the angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right altar of incense. Zachariah was troubled by what he saw, and fear came upon him. But, the angel said to him,"Do not be afraid, Zachariah, because your prayer had been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John. And you will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth, for her will be great in the sight of the Lord. He will drink neither wine nor strong drink. He will be filled with the holy Spirit even from his mother's womb, and he will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord their God. He will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of father's toward children and the disobedient to the understanding of the righteous, to prepare a people for for the Lord."

Our story:

DOUGH!...Cookie dough!

Because the only thing better than paper chains, lights, ornaments and letters to Santa is making cookies! Our magic stunt today was making cookies and icing them. A sweet angel (not to be mentioned) stopped by today with cookie dough for the kids to roll out and bake.❤️

Lesson learned today: get another rolling pin 😆. Izzy was covered in flour and evidence that she taste tested all of her creations, icing, and then some. Xander and Everleigh did great cutting out their cookies. Izabelle didn't care about the cookies as much as she enjoyed eating to much dough, adding flower and rolling her dough out over and over. (Lots of flour!) Everleigh is a lover of all the tiny things, so her favorite are the miniature gingerbread people she made.

Izzy can do the clean up with only minimal flooding to the kitchen. 😜

Xander and Everleigh had a lot of fun decorating, while Izzy continuously ate her icing and cookies. (Like a lot!)🙈

They were so proud of their decorating. Xander has a few picked out that he is saving for Santa. It was chaotic, messy, and undeniably priceless! I'm hoping our elf, Sheah eats some of the cookies tonight. 😁. "How many days until Christmas, dough"?

Until tomorrow,

Have a sweet day, and a hyper night!
