The story of Christmas; Day 2: "he humbles himself, becoming obedient to death, even death on a cross. Because of this, God greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth," (Phillipians 2: 8-10)
Our Story; December 2:
It's so hard to believe that a year ago at this time, we had enough snow to make snow icecream, yet today it was in the 50s! I'm not complaining. It was wonderful to go outside today. Just wishing Izzy was feeling better so she could have enjoyed it too. Her morning started off rough when she thought she was ready to face the day at roughly 5:30am. (No, ma'am) She is congested, so getting to sleep is frustrating for sure. She did fall back asleep and I snuggled her this morning(because how do you put them down when they don't feel good?). Praying she feels better tomorrow.

The lake water is down so Xander wanted to look for trash and see if he could find anything. He threw away a couple cans and found two golf balls, a hair clip, and some shells. No to mention, the mudd found us. 😁 We were so thankful for a warmish day in December!
Anyway let's skip right to the sparkly, magical stuff. Tonight after supper, the kids got in their jammies, had hot chocolate, and watched The Polar Express. This is probably the 3rd year of this lil' tradition and I definitely think we'll keep it. 👌

Izzy coughed her face off and was ready to be held, but it was otherwise great. After the movie, Everleigh and Xander were singing the songs from the movie, which was pretty cute.

Then they played with their train around the tree.
We had to give Izzy some steam time in the bathroom to try to help her breathe😔 so she missed some of the fun stuff. (The concert🙈😜) After cleaning up from Izzy throwing up(after her bath, ofcourse because throwing up before the bath wind be to boring🤷♀️), things got awesome!...
I can't believe I'm saying this but I feel so relaxed. The kids pampered me by brushing my hair ("my rainbow hair" by the way) and giving me a back massage(for like an hour😍💆). I was like, what is even happening right now and I just sort of melted into the couch. Then they were taking turns telling stories.(Everleigh tells a blend of knock off stories like Little Red Riding Hood mixed with a princess and other miscellaneous fairy tales, while Xander tells stories about himself, his family and recent events🥰) It was the best. One thing is for certain, this day and that massage got me slumped. I'm beat.
Thanks for reading.✌️❤️ I hope you have enjoyed reading my little Christmas themed mom diary. I hope something in this very small glimpse of our day brought you a smile, or maybe just something to relate to. We will be memory making as we continue to get ready for Christmas. Please share your traditions or activities that are good for littles. I'd love some fresh ideas, especially any ideas/activities that teach our little people to love Jesus.
